Ok, you have to click the embed button and then the WHOLE image comes up blue i.e. all the vector points, then you click on OBJECT in the tool bar, the menu comes down and you click on ungroup.
Go to the layers window where at first you just see your linked layer with an arrow pointing to the right, small one at the side of the word linked. Click on this and the arrow then points down and reveals all the layers
Go to the layer with the writing on and delete it.
Or click with the black arrow on each letter in the design, it will highlight blue and you can press the delete button and it will delete probably one letter at a a time.
But I would also like to know how you type back in the same font as in the design, I'm gunna try to work that today.
