Are you hosting your site with Business catalyst or with third party?
Sitemap.xml is automatically created and updated in Muse. if you're hosting on Business Catalyst, then the sitemap.xml is not created by Muse. Rather it's created by a process that runs periodically on the BC servers, thus it may take up to a day before the sitemap.xml on BC has been updated.
