CS6 is the buggiest version of PS Adobe ever released. It is very unstable if you have not applied the CS6 updates.  You have also not posted what platform you on, your OS version,  the Error message and the CS6 crash report that is on your system.  Without some additional information there is no way for us to know what the problem is on your machine.
