Yes, I know that CS2 is not supported under vista. However, the product had been working well with no problems until my wife's hard drive failed. I replaced the hard drive and re-installed the CS2 version we bought and paid for. However the good folks at Adobe have turned off the activation system to allow us to continue to use the product. The standard phrase is a "technical Problem". But, "fear not" says the tech support guy. Please go the this adobe site and download this particular version and use this serial number and you will be good to go. NOPE! The version that I downloaded is a crippled version that is lacking a variety of the tools on the tool pallet. It is a crippled product and not at all what we bought and paid for.
Thus my jaded point of view with Adobe. All along, we have paid for the product and lived up to our part of the bargain. All along Adobe has treated us as if we were the thieves.
