Thank you for providing the information and sorry for getting on this post so late.

As you can reach the welcome screen, my suggestion would be to create a New Project and changing the GPU Acceleration to 'Software only' on the screen where you name the project. After setting the location and changing the GPU Acceleration options, you can proceed further and see if it works any better.
