There have always been dashed stroke options in ID. There are a couple of prebuilt styles, a Dashed option a the bottom of the list that opens the dash/gap settings, or you can create a custom dashed stroke style for easy reuse.
Arjun2's screen shot isn't telling us much. The stroke is not selected, so we can't see what is applied in the stroke panel, and he hasn't expanded the stroke style dropdown to show us the available choices.
