For the past week or so when I turn the page in a document I'm viewing in Acrobat it often displays something like
Deskewing Image
Rotating Image
Decomposing page
Recognizing Text
OCR complete
The above lines appear one after the other in fairly quick succession at the bottom right of the screen. This is happening in documents that aren't bitmapped--I.e., they don't need OCR scans. Obviously, it's quite distracting. I've looked around for some setting that would turn this behavior off, but I haven't been able to find one.
This behavior began around the time that I installed the PDF filter available at Adobe - Acrobat : For Windows : PDF iFilter 64 11.0.01 although I've now turned the filter off and the problem still occurs.
Do you know how to turn the "OCR scanning" behavior off?
I have Windows 7 Pro (64 bit up to date) and Acrobat X Pro is version 10.1.12.
