Hi all,
I have had this problem on both of my computers that I have Dreamweaver CC 2014.1 installed on.
I have been using the program for some time, but suddenly on opening it I am unable to connect to BC to download a new site and start working on it using Site/Manage Sites in the top menu.
Instead I am sent to a page to download the BC add on. When I sign in to download it, I am told I have it already, and am not given a link to download it.
The steps to rectify this are:
1. Close out of DW
2. Go to Creative Cloud (figure 8) and open it.
3. Make sure Sync files option is turned on
4. Download the Add on manager.
5. Launch the Add on Manager and go around in circles for a while using the Add on manager to uninstall, and the webpage to download the BC app to uninstall and reinstall the app.
6. Start and quit out of DW while doing these steps (sorry I could not work out a logical sequence of things to do in steps 5 and 6)
7. Eventually DW CC 2014.1 will have the BC app and you will be able to connect to BC and download the site you want to work on
However once this was done, when I started working on the site in DW CC the preview for the template I was working on had a 404 error for the template, so I could not see in split view in DW how the page looked.
So I had to go back to Adobe Creative Cloud app and turn off file sync to see how the page looks in the split view.
I think there is something wrong with DW CC 2014.1 and file sync in the Adobe Creative Cloud app.
