I'm using windows 8.1 and I'm having the same problem. I re-installed my graphics driver for my firepro v5900, re-installed premiere pro and I get the same thing: "Premiere Pro CC 2014.0 has stopped working" when the application opens.
This problem started to occur yesterday and I do notice that I was pushed a substantial security update from windows yesterday as well. I'm going to see if I can roll my computer back and fix the problem temporarily.
